Yoga Sound Experience – Friday 30th August
We are very excited to bring you an amazing night of Yoga Sound to feature Kirtan, Harmonium, Singing Bowls, Chimes and Gong.
Providing a fantastic opportunity to experience a variety of sounds used in practices such as Bhakti and Kundalini yoga, the evening is also our way of bringing our YX family together to enjoy a summer social!
If you are looking to delve deeper into your practice, would like to experience the uplifting sensations of singing in a group, or want to get a taster of the sonic massaging effects of gong and singing bowls, this event will leave you feeling energised and warm in the heart.
The evening will begin with an introduction to Kirtan, which is the practice of singing from the heart, letting go of thoughts and concerns and releasing them through sound.
This act of reciting chants through song brings focus to the mind and creates internal vibration to energise the body leaving it feeling joyous and happy. The group will be invited to join in this practice, although for those who may not want to participate, it will be just as beneficial to observe and absorb.
A group meditation with singing bowls will follow the Kirtan session to harness the positive energy and allow for self-awareness & self-reflection.
Once in the optimum receptive state, the evening’s practice will conclude with the healing sounds of chimes and Gong to provide a sonic massage leaving us cleansed and rejuvenated.
As we continually endorse the importance of both inner & outer connections in class, we invite you to join us at the end for some refreshing drinks. As a community of like-minded people, we think it would be wonderful to connect in a social capacity, which we often don’t have enough time for when we’re on the mat.
Tickets for this event are only £10 for YX Students* (use code: YSEYX at checkout) and £25 for non-YX students.
* YX Students are classified as anyone that has attended a YX class or workshop in the past 12 months.
